Card personalisation
PCS appreciates that card scheme requirements vary enormously from job to job so, as one of the leading plastic card manufacturers in the UK, our policy is to give our clients an extensive choice of card personalisation options.
Our custom built premises are equipped with the very latest in card personalisation technology, following a major period of investment in this area over the past two years. This includes Atlantic Zeiser DOD UV inkjet systems with personalisation in both black and white ink - the very first installation for white Drop-on-Demand (DoD) inkjet technology in Europe. The Atlantic Zeiser is capable of personalising and encoding cards at speeds of up to 30,000 cards per hour.
Personalising cards to meet our customers’ requirements generally falls into the following areas:

Card embossing with encoding is fulfilled by industry standard Datacard systems which provide bank quality card personalisation in both OCR B and simplex characters.
Flat thermal card personalisation is supported by a bank of NBS S18 Imagemasters in addition to high-speed thermal printing and encoding. Font styles are unlimited and for any special font requirements we can use customer supplied fonts.
Mifare chip encoding modules are run in-line with thermal card printers, providing a dedicated and secure infrastructure from which to issue contactless smart cards.
Of course, card personalisation generally only makes up part of a personalised card scheme. PCS offers a comprehensive match and mailing service for your card scheme, with Kirk Rudy match-mounting lines in changeable configurations (including in-line plough folding). Both Lake Image and Kirk Rudy camera matching systems are used, ensuring 100 per cent accuracy - giving you the assurance you need.
Automatic insertion into either DL or C5 envelope completes the personalisation cycle with additional inserts where required.
