PCS helps local charity

Leading plastic card manufacturer, Plastic Card Services (PCS), has showed its support to the local community by providing 1,000 complimentary bio-PVC membership cards to the self-funded charity, Bollington Health and Leisure.

The impressive leisure club, which first opened in 1977, remains central to the local community and runs a number of adult fitness classes and children’s swimming lessons every week. The complimentary membership card provided by PCS, will allow the leisure club to keep track of club usage, while making sure as much funding as possible is reinvested back into the superb staff and facilities.

Judith Mattinson, duty manager at the charity, said: “We have been providing our members with plastic membership cards for a number of years however the cost was becoming prohibitive as our membership levels grew. As a charity it is imperative that we are always getting the best value for money whilst still getting a great quality product, so we were excited when we came across PCS just down the road in Macclesfield.

“As a local company they had a good understanding of our needs and were keen to support us, as a local charity. Despite providing us with the cards free of charge, they haven’t taken any short cuts, providing us with high quality cards and excellent customer service. The cards are perfect for their purpose and the bio-PVC means we’re doing our bit for the environment.”

Andy Simpson, director at PCS, added: “It’s great to be able to work with local organisations, especially when we can offer fantastic value to a much loved local facility like Bollington Health & Leisure. It’s really important to us that we support the local community, and it gives us a chance to showcase the best of manufacturing in the North West.”
